Tools for the Digital Nomad

Do you want to know what one of the best perks of operating a remote company? Working hard from wherever I need to work! Having a spouse who has worked remotely for over 20 years can cause a little workplace jealousy. Now that we’ve established We Recruit Well, traveling with my spouse is a fantastic perk! I can work hard during the day from wherever he is, and then explore the new town at night! Being able to work hard successfully while remote means having the right tools in place.

Internet

  • Make sure where you are going has a great connection that is secure

  • Ensure your cell phone plan has a great hotspot for the times the hotel WiFi is not all it was cracked up to be

Communication

  • Slack is a great way to communicate on different projects and keeps everyone in line with what is going on

  • Zoom is fantastic for video conferences and even has a record feature

Project Management

  • Make sure your team is making use of a robust project management tool

  • Teamwork is a great one of our favorites and even has its own chat tool you can upload to your phone
